Each year, Scottish Book Trust works with a carefully selected group of writers who have yet to publish a full-length work. Awardees receive a bursary, as well as tailored support including mentoring, performance training, time at a writers’ retreat and advice on promoting their work. We also work in partnership with the Gaelic Books Council to provide an additional two places on the programme to writers working in Gaelic. Awardees have gone on to be published by prestigious publishing houses, won major literary awards and even been shortlisted for the Man Booker Prize.
This project is run by Scottish Book Trust (Scotland)
